(September 16, 2020) - Acosta announced today it was selected by Sam’s Club® as its exclusive service provider to execute all merchandise services in 597 clubs across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Sam’s Club, a division of Walmart, Inc. (NYSE: WMT), is a leading membership warehouse club offering superior products, savings and services to millions of members. The new Merchandising Services Program will centralize Sam’s Club merchandising activities currently being executed by various third-party agencies. Acosta, a leading sales and marketing agency in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, will be the only merchandiser for non-DSD packaged goods and hardlines in U.S. Sam’s Club locations.
Starting this fall, Acosta will operate a Sam’s Club-dedicated service model in which trained and certified representatives will perform work exclusively in Sam’s Club facilities or on behalf of its suppliers. Acosta will optimize sales performance through merchandising activities, including resets, feature and display installations, seasonal program execution, POS placement, new item cut-ins, stocking and availability. Phase one ramp up will add 600 new in-Club merchandising jobs and provide exciting career opportunities for existing retail continuity associates.
